Random Thoughts
As always, I am trying to keep this thing updated, but have had very little time. Just got back from an amazing weekend at Hume for the Fishermen’s Retreat. It was so much fun being up in the mountains and breathing in fresh air. I was also doing one of my favorite things in the whole wide world…FISHING! I love it when a fish hits the lure and begins the battle of bringing it in. So many factors can go wrong (we did lose a ton). But, the coolest part was seeing Connor Reithmayr (age 6) catch his first fish as well as the “fishing bug.” He wanted more and more fishing because he finally understood how cool it was to net his first fish.
Spiritually, I think about fishing for men and how cool it is when someone becomes a follower of Christ because of something you have done or said. I hope we all catch the “fishing bug” for those around us and really consider what it means to “love others as we love ourselves.”
