Have you ever wondered why certain words in the english language are appropriate to say and others are not? Who came up with these list of words that are not to be spoken in public? Society? Isn’t society the one that uses these words the most? I know I seem to consistently here words that are deemed “unmentionable.” However, words like poopy, darn, fire and brimstone, and sex are ok to say in public. What gives the word its power?
So I have figured out the biggest difference between these groups. Only with MSers can you have a Taco Bell Night where the games include how many soft tacos can you eat in 7 minutes, how many soft tacos can you stuff in your mouth at one time, and who can drink a value pack (including one taco, hot sauce, nachos with sauce, and a Pepsi) that has been blended into oblivion! These kids had a blast and loved every moment. Here are some pics:
OK, I have been trying to be better about this, but this time of year seems to be pretty busy. Why is it that when we should be focusing MORE on Christ due to the holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas, our society focuses on our desires and wants in gifts and presents? But I digress… This weekend was our Christmas Cafe at ABF and boy was it fun! Our Agape Singers hosted and served during the night as well as sang two amazing songs. I even had a part with Aaron Poladian. We did a little sketch in which two volunteers did our sound effects. each night was fun and the crowd had a great time too! Thanks to all that supported the ministry by coming.
